Rod Underwood’s hands-on-steel course started the project in the fall of 2021. Taking note from the form and function of the historic Quonset huts, the “Loop” project deploys three adjacent structures recalling CAP’s three key moments of evolution: its establishment in the Quonset huts in 1965 (the structures are installed where the Quonset huts were), its move across Neely in 1972 (the current CAP building), and its wing addition in 1983.
