The culinary school of Ivy Tech occupies the building’s first floor with Chesterfield’s Café, a baking laboratory and A chocolate lab. The culinary lab is also there, including 16 cooking stations and walk-in freezers. Currently, the program has about 107 students from 23 different counties. With the new space, Pier said, the school can now accommodate up to 160 students. Located in the new George and Frances Ball Building. This deli style sandwich shop and bakery features a wide variety of food and beverage options. While classes are in session, enjoy breakfast and lunch options. Customers can find bowls, burritos, salads, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, hot dogs, poutine and fry dishes. The café is now open to the public 8 a.m.- 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
